Exhibition of Fine Arts

at

St Mary's Church Marshchapel, (Cathedral in the Marsh)

Saturday, July 19th, 2pm to 8.30pm & Sunday, July 20th 11am to 3pm

Well over 400 people attended the 3 -day fine arts exhibition staged by Marshchapel Arts at St Mary's Church.

The work of 57 invited artists was on display at this event, the first exhibition of its kind to be mounted by Marshchapel Arts, and the organisers declare themselves delighted with the quality of the pieces presented.

Additionally in a schools' display 36 paintings and drawings from keystage II pupils at Fulstow, North Cotes and Marshchapel were shown.

The weekend closed with a garden party in a property opposite the church where live music was provided by a quartet from the New Riverside Jazzmen.

When final calculations are made, it is hoped that over 2 thousand pounds will have been raised for the heating fund at St Mary's.
